Motherboard w/marvell Ethernet Compatibility
I just purchased a new ASUS K8N-E Motherboard with Nvidia chipset NF3 250GB
with a Marvell Gbit ethernet LAN card PHY 88E1111 built in. my old Motherboard failed. it also had the NF3 250G chipset, But the built in ethernet card was a different make. I used forcedeth for the driver and all worked fine for most Distros. I am now wondering about the Marvell Gbit LAN PHY 88E1111 Compatibility. I find that several Motherboards that have the same chipset use the Marvell Gbit LAN PHY 88E1111 built in.
Has anyone here used a motherboard with Linux with that type of ethernet card? What about this motherboard< anyone using it with Linux. Any problems that I should be aware of? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated..
I can't seem to find any info on Linux compatibility for this motherboard or Marvell Gbit LAN PHY 88E1111 card

My Marvell ethernet card is built-in and it works perfectly with Linux, but it's not the same model as yours. I'd try the "sk98lin" and "skge" drivers first. If neither of those work, I'm not sure what else might.
