trouble with cdrw drive
I been having troubles with my cd drive, writing files to disk. I tried changing my user and group permissions with no luck. I logged out and logged back in a root still could get files to write to cd. My os is fc4, I am using the cd/dvd creator program that comes with fedora. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try with k3b?
Did you have cdrdao installed in your system?
What's exactly the errors you see trying to copy files to a CD/DVD?

I downloaded the rpm for cdrdao and installed it I was able to write a couple of files to disk and that was it.
Also looked at k3b since that is for the kde desktop I did not try it.
thanks Acron

So i will have to see what I can do about that, I have a spare drive to test with.
