Installing Lexmark Z65 (USB) Printer
I just got a Lexmark Z65 printer, for a really good price.
but when i searched for Linux support for it.... guess what.... Lexmark doesn't have it.
Then I search for unofficial support..... and again, couldn't find any.
Does any of you now how i can get this printer to work?
It's not nice to have a machine running WinXP just for the printer...
Thnx

Lexmark printers do cause really great problems with Linux, since they use proprietary protocols. There are drivers for a select few (very few), but they can be very hard to find. Try the linuxprinting.org site.

Z65 works under Linux
A Linux driver for Lexmark Z65 printer is available at
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-per...gi?fileID=1282
I installed it under Suse 9.0 and my Z65 is now fully functional.
