    X.Org comes with the voodoo driver (shown near the top of this page), which supports 2D output.

    Here is the man page for glide, a driver that utilizes the Voodoo series as they were meant to be: 3D-only add-on cards. The page has a URL for a page to download the drivers, but that page doesn't exist any more. Glide can be found on SourceForge now.
