Canon PIXMA mp170 multifunctional printer & scanner & copier doesn't seem to be supported by any driver. I tried turboprint and it works absolutely fine, but it's not free. It has PPD files for the printers and i tried to get it working with CUPS without the actual turboprint installed. But it seems to be tightly integrated into some turboprint binary so ppd driver won't work properly without it.

I hope CANON supplied ppds for their printers!!!

So the only option seems to be 29,90 e license per pc for turboprint as the demo is so limited to draft quality only.

any other ideas?
