Perfit mouse support for buttons 6,7
Hi-
I'm running fedora 5 and noticed my Forward/Back buttons didn't work. All the other buttons and the scroll wheel (assigned to buttons 4,5) seem to work fine. Here is the mouse section of my xorg.conf-
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Buttons" "7"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
I can't seem to get the buttons 6 and seven to be recognized. When I run xev, it says they are buttons 2 and 3. TIA

Maybe you want to look at this:

Perfit mouse support for buttons 6,7
Thanks. I used that section as a model and made one tweek - the Protocol needed to be "auto". It's working now.
For the record, this mouse is known as
"Perfit Mouse Optical" and "Contour Mouse"
