DVD-ROM Drive Recognises disc but says it is blank
Hi all!
I have a Mashita DVD-ROM S858SF drive on a computer running Suse Linux 10.1 Desktop. i installed it using the following drive. When I insert a CD or DVD, it recognises there is a disk in the drive but it doesn't display the label. It just says CD-ROM Disc or DVD-ROM Disc and it says it is blank. When I click on properties it says it has nothing on it, even though it does. The drive works on Windows XP.
Plz reply if u can help
Thanx in advance

Weblink
HI ehawk,
I've tried what the link suggested but to no avail.
I don't think the problem is playing DVDs. It's just to get Linux to recognise that the disc isn't blank and I need to be able to get the contents.

Mount command
Hi casper,
I got it mounted via the command line, but it is a bit of a hassle.
Is there a way I can get this done automatically when I insert a disc?
Thankz,
