Modem HELP!!!!
I am currently dual booting SUSE 9.2 and my modem doesn't work. I have a friend sending me a copy of SUSE 10 but i doubt even then my modem will work. It is a Creative Modem Blaster PCI Value DI5652-1. creative obviously does not have linux drivers for it. I have been searching with google but turned up nothing. Is soft modems even supported in linux????

This is an A-one headache you don't need right now. Go to your nearest computer store and buy an external serial modem. They can be had for between 30 and 100 bucks depending on where you buy. I'm partial to the Actiontec V92 serial modem, which works perfectly right out of the box.

Wow, I've never heard of such a thing. I wonder if the person that told you that really knows what they are talking about? If it's true, I'd be looking for another provider.
