    Core Duo compatibility.


    Hey.

    I'm thinking of purchasing a brand new laptop, but all tests, reviws etc. are for laptops with Windows as OS.

    How are Intels new core processors (and especially duo) doing in linux? Any problems? And what about the dualcore processors from AMD. I heard there were some problems with the AMD processors in the past...

    There should not be any issues. The SMP kernel will be used instead of the standard one, but that should be installed automatically.
