So open your terminal and install ntfs-3g and its dependencies.
    Distribution: Debian Testing/Unstable:
Download and install fuse-utils, ntfs-3g, libntfs-3g4 and check for other dependencies:
    Debian -- ntfs-3g
    Fedora:
sudo yum install fuse fuse-libs ntfs-3g ntfsprogs ntfsprogs-gnomevfs
    Mount using:
    mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/hdb5/pathtoyourdir
    Enjoy

there is no need to install all those packages.
    execute this only
    Code:
    yum -y install ntfs-3g
    it will install all dependencies.

    Note: ntfs-3g is pre-installed in Fedora 7.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
