    im looking for a new laptop....it should be practic+cheap

    thats all what i need ....is good chose?

    i would run gentoo and BSD on it....

    I don't think you'll have much luck combining a 17" monitor with a 5 hour battery need. You'd be luck y to get 4 hours on a new battery. Also despite efforts from the ACPI projects linux still seems to have shorter life on laptops than other proprietary OSes.

    yes but hardware works much harder than with other OS's
