Gateway EV700 CRT Monitor Refresh Rates
Ok, I'm using a Gateway EV700 monitor at the moment. My preferred refresh rate is 60 Hz, I like the clarity, but the way my xorg.conf is configured only allows 85 Hz, which is murder on my eyes after 30 minutes or so. I was told I need to know the Horizsync and Vertrefresh values for my monitor and changing those would fix it, but I have been unsuccessful in finding any documentation on it, and I do not have the user manual because the monitor was a hand-me-down. Can anybody here help me out and tell me what I need to do to my xorg.conf file to get it down to 60 Hz, or at least something lower than 85? I know 60 works b/c it's what Windows uses.
