I'm havig trouble installing Fedora Core 5 on a 200 GB Western Digital HD

My Pentium III System does not recognize 200gb natively, so it relies on the on track Dynamic Disk Overlay.
When I install Fedora core 5 all goes well. But when I reboot grub say Geom mismatch. Grub overwrote the DDO and now cant see the drive. If I update the DDO it erases grub so I cant boot either. Is there a workaround on this?

also is it possible to boot FC5 from Within the cdrom
at the boot prompt what is the default path to the fc5 boot image on the hard disk?
