Onboard Intel i830 Driver on new Dell under Debian

    Howdy All

Running Debian with 2.6.4 kernel and X 4.4.0 on a new Dell with Intel i830 onboard graphics. I have a perfectly good GeForce sitting here, but I want to get the i830 working. You know, principle and all

So I downloaded Intels i830 driver from their website and when I attempt to compile it get errors stateing AGPGART did not compile and, while compiling DRM, kernel modules did not compile. The error log can be found here: http://duder.dnsalias.net//intelerror.txt

Does anyone have any experience getting X to run with the Intel supported driver? I can get it running with the generic 810 drivers but at undesirable resolutions.

Nope, actually, it says they are compatible with 2.4.x but I couldn't get them working under that ver of the kernel either This post is less to find out HOW to get it working and more to find out if anyone has gotten it working. Just want to know I'm not beating my head againest the wall for nothing. I've already switched over to my nVidia card until I can research this further.
