I've just bought this laptop with no OS installed. As I tried to install Debian(netinst,testing - the same CD, I used to install Debian on my desktop PC circa one year ago), it has failed to detect network hardware, and therefore failed to complete installation .

Can anyone suggest best distribution to run this notebook? What's best for it? Gentoo? Debian? (please note, that it has AMD Turion64x2 processor).


Any help would be greatly appreciated.
