Do I need an Nvidia driver?
I know that's a dumb question, but I want to make sure before I go ahead and install the drivers.
My graphics card is an EVGA e-GeForce 7300 GT.
I *think* I need the Nvidia driver to get it working properly, but I'm really not sure. Can anyone advise me?

Not strictly, no. It will work with the open source nv driver that comes with X. But if you want good 3D performance, you'll need to download Nvidia's binary driver from their Web site.

The "vesa" driver will also work, if you don't need 3D.

Thanks folks.
I've got my system up and running (almost) exactly the way I want it, and I was scared that installing the "right" drivers for my graphics card would break things. Maybe I'll just leave it as it is, with the non-3D drivers.
