is it really that bad to remove an IDE hard drive while the computer is on a running?
i have two ide hard drives and I want to remove one (primary slave) but I don't want to shut down the computer to do it (i only need it out for just an hour or so). Can I just umount it and remove it without a problem? There is nothing on it except for some audio and video files. I have a second partition on the primary slave containing the swap partition for my system.
seagate 120 gb drive, ntfs
