For installing graphic driver i am told by NVIDIA's help file to go to
cd /usr/src/linux
make cloneconfig && make dep
....but there is no such folder....im using suse 8.1.....and ...

....but there is no such folder....im using suse 8.1.....and im using the SUSE help from nvidia's site....can anyone tell me how to do the make thing? i really need it bad

Under suse use the yast online update utility.. after severall so called "essencial" updates it will download hte nvidia drivers and install them. If you really want to see what linux can be like and what its capable of I reccomend useing gentoo over any distro!
