Anyone know if this will work with linux?

I NEED Ubuntu support but I want a Core 2 Duo system and I'd like to get a good overclock out of it.

I've already been told that 965 boards don't work well with Ubuntu and a number of other distros so I've dropped my dream of a Gigabyte P965-DQ6 and I've set my sights on the new Bad Axe 2 instead.

I'm really lost here and could really use some help. I've not done anything in the Intel world since my oldschool 400MHz Celeron I had in like 1999-2000...
