i have a creative labs ide controler thats built in to a SB16, but as soon as i connect any ide device into it the bootup gives errors (hdg: irq request timeout

actualy, its not connected to a cdrom, it is a host to my 800mb 3.5" removable hdd.
I know that it should work with linux cos it was fine with redhat 5.1 on my old computerCry out for freedom! Cry out for Linux!
