    Unmounting flash card reader

In RH 9.1, I right-clocked on the desktop, went to disks, and selected 'flash'. This is my SanDisk compact flash drive. It opened and showed all the files. I took the flash card out and took some pics with my camera. Now, I put the card it and nothing shows up, and the device is still mounted. I try 'umount flash' and it says the device is in use. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Still in-use. How can I fix this without having to restart the system?

You might have to "eject" the card beforing unmounting it.

I'm not sure of the syntax, but try something like:

    # flash eject
    # umount flash
    good luck
