Hello all,
I'm building a DAW around open source software . As far as the computer and software itself, I've pretty much got those bases covered. However, my question is in regards to external peripheral hardware. I've been googling around quite a bit but I can't seem to find any info on compatability.

For instance, if I wanted to use Ardour or Rosegarden and control it with an external controller such as....
* Tascam FW-1884
* Mackie Control, etc.. etc..

...If anyone knows of or has been able to successfully use any control surfaces with a Linux based DAW, I would greatly appreciate your input, thanx.
