Old Mac

Can I run Linux and is it even worth it?
Is there an older version that works on it, and even if there is should I just keep my OS7.5 or my OS 8.5 I already have?

You'll probably just need a distro you can keep lightweight like Gentoo, Arch etc. Maybe even DSL. Running it without an X server could help too. Just stay away from the bloated distros like Ubuntu, Suse, Fedora Core etc.

Is it worth it? Like I already can play games and type stuff. And any game I find that works only on linux will work on my PC anyways, unless there is a linux distro that runs mac apps.
Is there wine for mac so I can run windows apps?
