    USB TV on Linux


    generally speaking do HDTV USB TV cards work with Linux.

    Anyone had any joy getting one to work? I'm thinking of buying one just for the recording facility (don't have any way of recording stuff at the moment).

    I'm looking at something like this

    Have a look here http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page , as with a lot of things it depends on the chipset. I got mine working , dvb-t device with afatech af9005 chipset thanks to a guy in italy who wrote his own driver and stuck it on the net. Works a treat with kaffeine and doesn't crash like it does in windows
