    They are pretty much the same.

    In my opinion, the ATI drivers are easier to install in Ubuntu or Debian, but perhaps I only say that because I am more used to Debian based distro.

    Just look around for HOW-TOs, so you can compare.

    Some distro, like Mandriva One 2007, even have the ATI drivers installed by default.
