Combo RAM Disk and Flash Disk Storage
There is a plan by major drive vendors to release small Ram Disk and NAND Flash Disk combo drives for SATA/PATA/SCSI interface.
During boot up, the data is copied from Flash Disk to RAM disk. During shutdown/hibernation, only the modified blocks of data is written from RAM disk to Flash disk.
Is there any Linux support/driver for such device?
Certain Linux such as DSL have small memory and storage requirement. Is it possible to create similar setup (RAM- Flash combo) using small Linux distro, RAM on PC and ordinary USB Flash storage?
