    ALSA resets after reboot?



    Hello all,

    I have a Creative SoundBlaster Live 5.1 and it works good. I just run "alfaconf" and it searches for soundcards. I select the SB 5.1 and it installs it. When I then view the file /proc/asound/cards it correctly shows my soundcard and it works fine. But when I reboot my computer or just start it up in general, the settings are reset and the SB 5.1 is not working untill I run alsaconf again.

    Any idea how to make the configuration permanent?

    Make sure that you are saving your session when you log out/shutdown.


    Or maybe you are running a livecd, in which case I can inform you that saving your settings is impossible.
