I use mandriva 2006.0 with console mode.

I had problems with Cups, Foomatic and Printerdrake.

I can access cups: lynx http://localhost:631

But after clicking on "Sending test page", nothing happen.

I also use PrinterDrake on X-Windows, but it complained "cannot install cups". When I press "Sending test page", nothing happen.

I can print text file to "/dev/lp0" and use ghostscript for printing PS (Postscript) and PDF files. For image file (jpg, gif, bmp, png), I use GIMP for converting images to PS.

2. Is there any replacement for CUPS, but for single user/root only?
