Hi everyone,

I bought an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard with two 80GB Maxtor S-ATA harddisks connected to it. They are set up in RAID 0 mode. WinXP is already installed. The board contains the SiliconImage 3112 SATARaid controller I think.

I tried different distros (SuSE 8.2, Slackware 9.1, Mandrake 10.0, Gentoo 2004.0/1) and searched a lot on the net but I just can't make Linux recognize this setup correctly. Always two drives are found instead of one. Am I missing something? How can I make Linux use RAID 0?

Any help appreciated.
