Hey all,

I'm looking at the Sony dru-700a dvd burner. Its the "first" U.S. shipped dual layer dvd burner. (8+ GB / dual layer disk)


I know the dual layer media isn't out yet, but I'm just wondering if anyone out there has this burner or knows if it will work on linux?

Will the dual layerness make it more unique than other burners, and require special drivers or software? (regardless of wether i use dual layer disks or standard disks)
