Have just put in a new SCSI card - adaptec 29160N - it is detected in the bios ok and within the SCSI set up utility at the post screen it also scans and detects our tape drive ok (Freecom DDS4 C5683A)
However when the O/S is booted up I cannot access it using mt -f /dev/nst0 - gives unkown device.
If i run cat/proc/scsi/scsi it tells me no devices are attached.
Output of lsmod is:

The aci7xxx driver is what I believe is for the SCSI card so it looks ok
Any ideas why the O/S is not assigning the tape drive to nst0 ?
