Help on a External HDD and External DVD-ROM

Alright im getting the ASUS Eee laptop with a Xandros OS, and im getting a External HHD and DVD-ROM and am wondering if both of them will work on it.

This type of device is very standardised and usually don't use any specific drivers other than generic SATA/USB or Mass Storage. They should both just work out of the box. That hard drive is perfect, I use one very similar myself.
