Broadcom 4311 on DV9210ca (dv9000) Ubuntu
I have just completed my first ever install of Linux (ubuntu 11.04) it is all working great except for the onboard Wireless card. I have tried the Broadcom STA driver that shows up in 'additional drivers' i have tried the installer package 'b43' i tried 'b43-fwcutter' and nothing works.
when i plugged in my TP-Link USB wireless adapter it instantly started working. I'm not sure if this is relevant but for some reason if i turn off my wireless switch the TP-Link USB stops working.
i am running an HP-DV9210CA with AMD Turion 64x2
03:00.0 Network controller : Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN [14e4:4311] (rev 01)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!
P.S. In case its not clear i am a real linux noob so please please tell me things in a way i can understand, thanks
