Hardware inpatabilities make most dists not show their best. Having loaded Mandake and Susi on the same Thinkpad all I can say is us mortals hae to put up with a lot, the systems we buy are designed to run windows its time that changed

I agree! HP is now selling Compaq nx5000 Laptops or something like that with SuSE (or Red Hat, can't remember) pre-installed.
nice...and i was managing to get such a system.companies should think that way,selling pc's with linux pre-installed.it will make linux more famous i think!
