Host-based printing is poo
The IT staff just set up a fancy new printer in my office. The lovely HP Color LaserJet 2600n. As it turns out, this printer is what they call 'Host-Based'. In other words, requires local software (on the user's system) to process print jobs. No PCL, no PostScript. What this means is that I need special software to use this printer, and would you believe it, they don't have one for linux.
Does anyone know if there's anything available for Linux that can work with these kinds of printers?
