Hotplug stops working
I'm running Arch Linux on kernel 18.104.22.168, and the first few times I plug in my iPod or another USB device, it is detected just fine (dmesg output, mountable, etc). However, after a few tries, no USB device I plug is detected (no dmesg output). Any idea how I can solve this issue?
Alright, so I think it's time I bump this sucker. Maybe more information will make answering easier...
Yes, I have USB and hotplug support in my kernel. It's all compiled into the kernel. (The only modules I use are ndiswrapper, nvidia, and various sound modules)
/proc/sys/kernel/hotplug exists and is empty (whether or not the devices are detected)
ksuspend_usbd is running.
The problem is very random; sometimes I'll boot up and hotplugging doesn't work at all; sometimes it takes a few days.
Any hints would be great. Thanks!
