laser-printer oki c8600 driver?

My department administration has bought a new laser printer OKI C8600 that run well on the Windows and Mac OSX systems... but my system is Linux Fedora 7!
The printer has been built by OKI without any standard protocol, but only with the private Microsoft protocol (!?), and it is not cheap! It is a interesting market choice!!!!

Does anyone know as to make the printer running under Linux system?

Printer OKI C8600 - Is it something new after 3 years? From OKI wrote me yesterday, that they do not (will not) have driver for Linux. But I can try anything other drivers.:arrow:
