lexmark printer driver
looking to install fedora core3 but have 2 probs.first i have an ati 9600 card and have seen that linux drivers are poor.more importantly i have a lexmark p707 printer and have also seen on various forums that lexmark do not support linux.anybody found solutions to these probs.i am possibly going to get an epson rx420 all in one soon,according to epson website they support linux,any scare stories regarding this .cheers for any advice.

not sure if it's got a driver, but you may want to check out Linuxprinting.org for drivers. That's where i found drivers for my 'non-linux' HP PSC-1205! :)

The newest version of the ATI drivers aren't *that* bad. They have decent 3d acceleration, but don't expect to run something like Doom III on them. :wink:
I'd also suggest the dri project. I've heard good things, but I can't use it with my AIW9600Pro. :(
