Modem setup
Now I know I dealing with stone age technology here, but I've recently set up a new dial up modem on the dual boot PC and have managed to connect to the net through Windows. However, I can't seem to set it up in Slackware (I was trying this through KDE if it makes any difference).
How do I set it up in Linux and is the fact that there is no Linux driver available for it a problem? I ask this because I got my external HD running in Slackware without a driver.

what is the make and model of the modem?

It's an Intel 536EP modem.

punch that in allong with linux into google (Intel 536EP linux) and you will get several hits, my internet is so slow right now, i dont have 20-30min to look at them and post the links here, but looks like at least 2 forums threads on the same thing, an offical site supporting the driver, and seveal rpm dl mirrors.
