Mouse DPI Resolution
I just bought a new mouse (actually a thumb trackball, Logitech M570). Im thinking the resolution in Linux might be set a little low or perhaps below what it is capable of. Im wondering if theres a way I can try a higher resolution for it to operate at.
Actually, kind of curious about sample rate as well.
Any help greatly appreciated.
It depends upon the version of Linux and the desktop manager you are using. For example, my CentOS 5 system, running KDE 3.5.4, allows me to configure the mouse from it's default of 4 pixels on the pointer threshold, which controls how the pointer acceleration behaves. I use a Logitech trackball myself, and never had a problem, even though I run dual 1920x1200 displays.
