All, I need a serial port on my IBM Thinkpad X31 for school but I don't have one. Are there any USB or other add-on serial ports that work well under Linux? I'm using Gentoo, if that makes a difference. Thanks.

I have a Thinkpad T40 running SuSE 9.3 and my USB to RS232 adapter works.
