Nvidia 6600gt help

hi, i just installed mandriva 06 free version on my comp and when i get to the end of the installation where to check the settings and stuff, i go into the graphic settings and select my monitor and my graphics which is a nvidia 6600GT, the card is not there instead it has selected geforce FX and the only 6 series is the 6800, i have selected both and both times X failed to work, it just splits the screen into two small parts which are pink and green colours.

you probably have to download the drivers from nvidia to get it working, they also have a fairly good readme explaining how to install it
