/opt filling /root under LVM -> move /opt to different logical volume?
I installed Debian a while ago on a file and print server. I also installed a few utilities that, by default, install to the /opt drive. When one of the utilities broke, I discovered that /root was full, which makes sense because I didn't break /opt out when creating the file structure (using LVM) on installation. I'm looking for advice on the easiest way to fix this.
Is there a way to relocate /opt on the same partition as /home, which has plenty of space? I'm looking to avoid creating a new logical volume.
