Printer problem
I purchased an hp deskjet 3520 to replace my hp 5740. I am running ubuntu 11.10 on an acer 7720. When I plugged the printer in it was recongnized and the driver installed. When I print a test page it says completed but no print out. When I check the status is says idle. If I unplug the printer it updates the status to off or unplugged. I used a windows laptop and installed the driver was able to test the printer to make use it works using the usb port. even ran the built in hp-setup, it does not even see the printer plugged into the usb port on either side of the pc. The printer will go into a "sleep" mode when I attempt to send a test print it wakes the printer up but that's it. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

After some research I found a new verison of the hp-setup(3.12.6) downloaded it. The newest drivers are available with it. Ran the setup tested successfully.
