I have a sony DSCP50 digital camera which can be plugged into a USB port to get pictures off of, I cant seem to get the system to see the camera when its plugged in.
Are there drivers or something that need installed for digital cameras to be seen???
When you plugin the camera, can you enter the command
There should be output about the camera and where the memory/memory card is mounted. Can you post this info here. Also, are you using GNOME or KDE?
For some reason, I plugged the camera in this morning and it was immediately picked up and is working fine now. I plugged the camera in and a little window popped right up and told me there are pics on your camera and allowed me to copy them and everything. I love it!!! Windows Vista wont work with this camera but Fedora 8 will! When I go to my computer a mass storage device shows in there when the camera is plugged in, this is under GNOME.
Anyway, thanks for the help, it working fine now!
now its not working...LOL. I opened terminal and ran the command you posted but nothing came up....
