Sound Blaster X-FI fatality under suse 10.0 professional

Hi everyone,

I'm running suse linux 10.0 and my sound card is a sound blaster x-fi fatality. The problem is that I can't get it work. The system does not even recognize it!!!

Any idea about how to make it work?

isnt that brand new... i read a review on it, they said the basic one was beter than the fatality, but, try using the drivers for like the 2zs premium or sumthing, it proly doesnt have ur drivers sense its so new

Nope, sorry but your advice does not help unfortunatly.
Any other ideas?

However I won't surrender!!! Any usefull idea?

I've tried loading emu10k1 and emu10k1x moduels froms YAST | HARDWARE | SOUND but I got this message every time:

"kernel module emu10k1 can't be loaded. This may be caused by wrong parameters in the module such as non valid IO or IRQ"

Ehm, I'm italian so I had to translate this message. Therefore it might not be exactly the same message you get using english version. :oops:
