strange mouse behavior
often in Firefox, right clicking on a link is unstable.
The right click context menu flashes on the screen for a split second and disappears.
Usually if I try it 2 or 3 times, it stays on the screen and I'm able to select an option.
I thought it could be a driver or setting issue, but I'm not sure.
Anybody heard of anything like this? Seems odd to me.
It's a generic PS/2 mouse with wheel, and works absolutely fine on Windows dual boot.
Any suggestions appreciated..
EDIT - I should add it works absolutely fine in Konqueror. (I'm using KDE in PClinuxOS 2010)
Perhaps it's a mouse / Firefox issue, but what ?
Have you tried holding the button down for a second or two? I occasionally have the same problem and it seems to correspond with how busy the system is, so probably the program thinks that you moved off the link and closes the dialog/menu.
I did try it and this is what happens:
I hold the right button down and the context menu appears.
When I release the button, it disappears - it's just teasing me,
I still can't use it.
You should be able to hold the button down, and select the entry you want with the mouse. What happens then?
It's not a natural mouse movement, sometimes it works and sometimes
it doesn't. Firefox is working just fine in XP on the same box.
There seems to be something amiss in Linux / Firefox.
