I am working on a tablet that runs Linux, but due to its low level of ram(256 mb) I was wondering what type(if any) of lightweight Linux could it run. Also I was wondering if said type of Linux has Touch screen drivers.
Thanks for the help,
You say it already runs some version of Linux? In any case, 256MB is plenty to run Debian or Gentoo. Current systems support a number of touch screens, but knowing what yours has would be helpful. Run the commands "lspci" and "lsusb" and post the output here. That should tell us what your hardware is. Also, the "lsmod" command will show what drivers it has running.
Thanks for the reply, it runs fedora.
What version of fedora, do you know?
Lubuntu is what I run my old tabletpc on . Xournal allows you to annotate almost any file and the Wacom drivers make using the pen for drawing and painting like MyPaint.
