Washed out screen with fglrx
My media center has a Radeon 9200 with dual monitors. One is actually a monitor, while the other is my TV (which is just a standard, plain old fashioned TV, not HD or LCD or anything like that). My problem, believe it or not, is with the monitor, not the TV. Everything on the TV looks fine, and what problems I do have with it are from a bad cable that I haven't gotten around to replacing yet. On the monitor, however, everything is horribly washed out with the fglrx driver. With other drivers I've tried (ati and vesa), the monitor works fine, but the TV is completely garbled. I kinda need the dual monitor setup because, while it handles subtitles on movies fine, normal text is all but unreadable on the TV. I've tried fglrxconfig, but it didn't help at all, so I went back to the xorg.conf I was using before (the one fglrxconfig makes is just too damn crufty IMHO). Any suggestions?
Oh, and because I know it'll be suggested, switching to an NVidia card isn't an option. The only reason I have this media center at all is because I got the box for free (well, for putting together the computer that the previous owner bought one piece at a time, so almost free). I can't afford to put any money into it.
