NIC cause lockup on bootup.
I have install linux 9.0 on an HP Pavilion ze4200, that has a built-in NIC. The problem is that, when I try to intialize the NIC during bootup I get a green "OK" on the NIC after a small pause, but then it locks up on the PCMCIA line.
Now, the funny thing is, when I don't intialize the NIC during bootup, but rather wait and setup the NIC & intialize it at the desktop, everything works fine........!?!
Have any of you seen a similiar problem? I have looked in the laptop's BIOS, but there's no setting to disable the PCMCIA. Is there such an option within Linux? If so, where can I find it?
As always any information anyone can offer me, is greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
